Before it was a reality, Kindred People was a place we visited in our daydreams. It started as an eclectic smattering of thoughts and ideas we drew from influential creatives, pop culture, the magic of our day-out shopping trips, and an endless love for our home in Northern Minnesota. Kindred People opened its doors on May 4, 2015 in Alexandria, Minnesota. From the very beginning, it has challenged, connected and changed us in the best ways. People have always been the focus of Kindred People. Each corner has been built and influenced by each individual that has come through our doors.

Quality Apparel and Styling.

You will find our brick and mortar stores in the beautiful and bustling downtown district of Alexandria, Minnesota. We expanded from our original build-out and remodeled in 2020. Stepping into our Alexandria shop off of Sixth Avenue, you will be met with a fresh, airy boho vibe with natural wood and clean black accents. Our shop is stacked with cool apparel and graphics, high quality denim, small batch jewelry, custom scent design, hair accessories, and trendy gifts. We hand picked our curation at markets across the country as well as local and regional makers. It is our mission to curate unique clothing, accessory and gift collections that inspire confidence and a sense of comfort, to create original events that bring our communities together and to support others through collaboration and providing a platform to launch.
