FULL TIME Store Manager | Alexandria, Minnesota

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a rich understanding of the Kindred People vision and uphold the mission and standards across all areas of business.
  • Cultivate and maintain customer relationships by building trust, asking the right questions, anticipating needs, sharing expertise, and completing the fit with the customer in store.
  • Drive sales by clienteling, building style authority, leading the sales floor, and designing team incentives.
  • Track and report personal and store sales goals, and recommend strategies for growth.
  • Create and sustain a professional relationship with all customers, sales reps, contractors, staff, and owners.
  • Supervise the store staff by delegating work, ensuring start time arrival, reviewing performance, coaching through training exercises, informing on promotions, executing EIPs, demotions and/or terminations.
  • Serve as the team *Hypemaster*. Build confidence and morale by celebrating team members every chance you get!
  • Give direction to team members on tasks to complete during shifts in order of priority.
  • Ensure all daily duties are completed to standard, resolving issues and offering support as needed.
  • Train team members on all KP Stylist tasks including but not limited to Sales Crusher Blueprint, customer service, merchandising, styling in the fitting rooms, processing inventory, phone orders, fulfilling online orders, POS, opening and closing, restocking, straightening, and any other front / back of house tasks.
  • Ensure team members have in-depth knowledge of current store brands and products.
  • Ensure our CRM SOP is followed by all team members.
  • Identify pain points, facilitate conflict resolution, and advise on customer service needs.
  •  Keep the store looking funky fresh, drawing people in through visual merchandising racks, flat lays, pegboards, and shelving.
  • Provide feedback and input on product buying and business operations.
  • Create on brand social and web content, lead brand collaborations and photoshoots.
  • Organize and direct prep, setup and teardown for all store sales and events.
  • Communicate staff and store needs to owners.
  • Must be able to work open hours, two weekends per month, and select holidays. The Store Manager is expected to ensure the shop is appropriately staffed for business hours in any case of employee illness or emergency that results in short notice schedule changes. This may include finding replacement workers before open and/or covering the shift personally, upon no other options. Occasional after- or before- hours events and team meetings are mandatory attendance.

Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm
Sunday 10am-4pm

Full time
Wage range $19-24

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Retail and sales experience in apparel or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on achieving sales goals and enhancing the customer experience.
  • A passion and perspective for styling apparel and accessories.
  • Growth mindset and ambition to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to give direction in a professional regard, motivating the team to function at the highest level.
  • Proficiency in photo and video capture / editing for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
